Terms & Conditions

DEFINITIONS

For the purpose of these terms and conditions ("Plus! Terms and Conditions"), the following terms when capitalized shall have the meanings as set forth below, except where the context otherwise requires:

  1. "Account" means the LinkPoints account maintained by NTUC Link for the Cardholder.
  2. "Award" means the award of LinkPoints to the Cardholder by the Merchant.
  3. "Card" or "Plus! Card" means any one of the cards approved by NTUC Link that contains the LinkPoints logo, including but not limited to the NTUC Plus! Card, NTUC Plus! Visa Card, Plus! Card, Plus! Visa Card, nEbO Plus! Card and Plus! Card on Android Pay. "Card" or "Plus! Card" shall also mean any e-Cards issued and approved by NTUC Link for use on the Website, including but not limited to the ePlus! Card.
  4. "Cardholder" means the Plus! Member to whom a valid Card has been issued.
  5. "Content" means reviews and photos, suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or any other information posted by a Customer on the Website.
  6. "Customers" refers to both members and non-members of the Plus! Programme.
  7. "Guest Shopper" means a Customer who is not a Plus! Member.
  8. "LinkPoints" means the LinkPoints awarded to the Cardholder under the Plus! Programme.
  9. "Linked Sites" mean any third party website that may be linked via the Website.
  10. "Loyalty Points" means the loyalty points issued to members of the Loyalty Programme by the Plus! Partner which owns or manages such Loyalty Programme.
  11. "Loyalty Programme" means a loyalty rewards programme owned or managed by a Plus! Partner which issues Loyalty Points to the members of such loyalty rewards programme in accordance with the terms and conditions of such loyalty rewards programme as stipulated by the Plus! Partner.
  12. "Merchant" means the merchant participating in the Plus! Programme with whom NTUC Link has entered into a valid Merchant Agreement.
  13. "Merchant Agreement" means the agreement between NTUC Link and the Merchant setting out the terms and conditions of the Merchant’s participation in the Plus! Programme, including but not limited to the terms and conditions relating to Awards for qualifying purchases of the Merchant’s goods and/or services.
  14. "Merchant’s Terms and Conditions" means the terms and conditions stipulated by the Merchant and approved by NTUC Link, in relation to the Awards for qualifying purchases of the Merchant’s goods and/or services.
  15. "NTUC Link" means NTUC Link Private Limited.
  16. "NTUC Member" means an individual holding a valid Union membership.
  17. "Personal Data" means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data; or from that data and other information to which the organisation has or is likely to have access.
  18. "Plus! Exchange" means the loyalty points conversion platform owned and operated by NTUC Link that allows Plus! Members to convert their Loyalty Points to LinkPoints, or vice versa.
  19. "Plus! Member" means a member of the Plus! Programme to whom a valid Card has been issued.
  20. "Plus! Partner" means an entity owning or managing a Loyalty Programme and with whom NTUC Link has entered into a valid agreement to allow their mutual members to convert the Loyalty Points of such entity to LinkPoints, or vice versa, on the Plus! Exchange or the Plus! Partner’s Platform.
  21. "Plus! Partner’s Platform" means the loyalty points conversion platform owned and operated by the relevant Plus! Partner that allows Plus! Members to convert their Loyalty Points to LinkPoints, or vice versa.
  22. "Plus! Rewards" means the rewards programme managed by NTUC Link as part of the Plus! Programme whereby Plus! Members may redeem their LinkPoints for Rewards.
  23. "Plus! Rewards Centre" means the redemption centre managed by NTUC Link.
  24. "Plus! Programme" means the loyalty programme managed by NT UC Link.
  25. "Return Shipping Fee" means the fee paid by the Customer to return the Product to the Seller.
  26. "Rewards" means the vouchers, e-vouchers/promo codes, certificates, tickets, goods or services redeemable by the Cardholder using his LinkPoints.
  27. "Rewards Vendor" means the vendor participating in the Plus! Programme whereby its vouchers, goods and/or services may be redeemed by Plus! Members as Rewards using their LinkPoints and/or cash.
  28. "Rewards Vendor’s Terms and Conditions" means the terms and conditions stipulated by the Rewards Vendor for the redemption of Rewards by the Plus! Members.
  29. "Rewards Vendor’s Redemption Centre" means the redemption centre managed by the Rewards Vendor.
  30. "Services" means all services provided by NTUC Link, including but not limited to the services available for the Plus! Programme and Plus! Rewards, whether online or offline.
  31. "Service Provider" means the service provider engaged by NTUC Link to provide operational, administrative, ancillary and other services in respect of the Plus! Programme.
  32. "Shipping Fee" means the fee charged by the Seller to ship the Product to the Customer.
  33. "Union" or "NTUC" means National Trades Union Congress.
  34. "Users" mean all users of the Services and the Website, including but not limited to Plus! Members and Guest Shoppers.
  35. "Website" means www.plus.com.sg and its subdomains.

Unless the context otherwise requires, words referring to the singular number shall include the plural number and vice versa, references to natural persons shall include body corporate and the use of any gender shall include all genders. The use of headings in these Plus! Terms and Conditions is for ease of reference only and should not be used for the interpretation of these Plus! Terms and Conditions.

PLUS! PROGRAMME

1. ELIGIBILITY

As the Plus! Programme belongs to NTUC Link, any individual’s participation in the Plus! Programme shall be at the sole discretion of NTUC Link. An individual must hold a valid Card in order to participate in the Plus! Programme.

2. REWARDS

2.1 A Cardholder can earn LinkPoints via the following methods:

  1. when purchasing qualifying goods and/or services from a Merchant. In order to earn LinkPoints for such purchase, the Cardholder must present his valid Card at the point of sale; and
  2. any other methods prescribed by NTUC Link from time to time.

2.2 Where the purchase of goods and/or services from a Merchant is made online or via other methods prescribed by NTUC Link and/or the Merchant, the Cardholder shall provide all necessary information as requested by NTUC Link and/or the Merchant in order for the Award to be made.

2.3 LinkPoints will only be issued for purchases of a minimum of S$1.00. For the avoidance of doubt, Customers will not be issued any LinkPoints for purchase below S$1.00.

2.4 All Awards shall be made in accordance with the Plus! Terms and Conditions herein and the Merchant’s Terms and Conditions.

2.5 LinkPoints accrued in an Account are not transferrable or assignable to any other Cardholder or Account. However, LinkPoints earned under a supplementary Card will be combined in the Account under the principal Cardholder’s name.

2.6 Subject to Clauses 2.1 and 2.2 above, NTUC Link shall only record and credit the LinkPoints in the Cardholder’s Account on the compliance with the following conditions ("Award Conditions"):

  1. NTUC Link’s receipt, verification and acceptance of the notification of Award from the Merchant. The Cardholder acknowledges and agrees that NTUC Link shall not be responsible for any delay or failure on the part of the Merchant in submitting the notification of Award to NTUC Link; and
  2. That the Merchant has entered into a valid and existing Merchant Agreement with NTUC Link and that the Merchant is not in breach of any provisions of the Merchant Agreement whether or not NTUC Link has notice of or has given notice to the Merchant for any breach by the Merchant.

2.7 In the event that any of the Award Conditions is not met, NTUC Link may, in its sole discretion, do any of the following:

  1. delay the recording and crediting of such LinkPoints in the Cardholder’s Account until all the Award Conditions are met;
  2. refuse to record and credit such LinkPoints in the Cardholder’s Account; or
  3. if the LinkPoints have already been recorded and credited into the Cardholder’s Account, to cancel and deduct such LinkPoints from the Account.

Any decision made by NTUC Link under this Clause shall be final and binding.

2.8 Where requested by the Merchant and supported by documentary evidence satisfactory to NTUC Link, NTUC Link may, but shall not be obliged to do so, cancel and deduct the credited LinkPoints from the Cardholder’s Account. Any decision made by NTUC Link under this paragraph shall be final.

2.9 LinkPoints are void upon cancellation. The Cardholder shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of any cancellation of LinkPoints by NTUC Link pursuant to the Plus! Terms and Conditions herein.

2.10 Cardholders may check the number of LinkPoints in their Account by logging into their Account at the Website or by presenting their Card at the Merchant’s premises.

3. LINKPOINTS VALIDITY PERIOD

3.1 LinkPoints earned in a calendar year will expire on 31 December of that calendar year. However, Cardholders are given an additional six months' grace period to redeem their LinkPoints i.e. their LinkPoints earned in a calendar year will be valid till 30 June of the following calendar year. For NTUC Members, they will enjoy twelve months' grace period i.e. their LinkPoints earned in a calendar year will be valid till 31 December of the following calendar year.

3.2 NTUC Link may from time to time, amend the validity period of the LinkPoints without prior notice to the Cardholders.

3.3 Expired LinkPoints will be automatically forfeited at the absolute discretion of NTUC Link without compensation to the Cardholder.

4. USING LINKPOINTS TO OFFSET PAYMENTS

4.1 Cardholders may use their LinkPoints to offset payments at Merchant’s outlets where payment by LinkPoints (whether partially or fully) is allowed by the Merchant and NTUC Link.

4.2 Cardholders must present their Card at the point of sale in order for the deduction of the LinkPoints from his or her Account towards such payments.

4.3 Any deduction of LinkPoints from the Account shall not be refunded to the Cardholder for any reason whatsoever.

5. REDEMPTION OF REWARDS

Cardholders may use their LinkPoints to redeem for Rewards in accordance with the terms and conditions under the Plus! Rewards section of these Plus! Terms and Conditions.

6. CHANGES TO THE ACCOUNT

6.1 Notwithstanding any other provisions in the Plus! Terms and Conditions herein and without prejudice to any other rights and remedies stated herein, NTUC Link reserves the right to make any changes to the Account (including but not limited to crediting or deducting LinkPoints from the Account, suspending or terminating the Account) and/or disqualify the Cardholder from participating in any contest, lucky draw, programme, activity or event organised by NTUC Link (whether solely or jointly with the Merchants, Rewards Vendors or other collaborators) without prior notice to the Cardholder, upon the occurrence of any of the following circumstances:

  1. Wrongful crediting or deduction of LinkPoints arising from:
    1. System glitches, malfunction, failure or disruption;
    2. Human error;
    3. Dishonest or fraudulent means; or
    4. Operational mistakes or changes;
  2. Changes in the list of Rewards, number of LinkPoints required for the redemption of the respective Rewards or the terms and conditions relating to the redemption of Rewards under the Plus! Rewards section of these Plus! Terms and Conditions;
  3. Inaccurate, false, misleading or illegible information supplied by the Cardholder; or
  4. Changes in the terms and conditions of the contest, lucky draw, programme, activity or event.

7. TERMINATION

7.1 NTUC Link may in its sole discretion, without prior notice to the Cardholder, suspend or terminate the Plus! Programme.

7.2 NTUC Link may terminate the Cardholder’s Account immediately if any one or more of the following shall occur:

  1. the Cardholder no longer holds a valid Card;
  2. the Cardholder abuses Plus! Rewards in any manner whatsoever in the opinion of NTUC Link;
  3. the Cardholder commits any fraud or misrepresents any information supplied or to be supplied by the Cardholder; or
  4. the Cardholder defaults on the due observance and performance of any of these Plus! Terms and Conditions herein and such default (if capable of being remedied) is not remedied for a period of thirty (30) days after NTUC Link has given to the Cardholder written notice of such default.

7.3 Upon the termination of the Cardholder’s Account, the Cardholder’s participation in the Plus! Programme shall terminate immediately and all LinkPoints in the Cardholder’s Account shall be forfeited. For the avoidance of doubt, the Cardholder shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of such forfeiture.

8. INDEPENDENT PROGRAMME

8.1 Notwithstanding any collaborations or partnerships with any other entities to issue co-branded cards, including but not limited to the collaboration with NTUC and/or OCBC in respect of the NTUC Plus! Card, NTUC Plus! Visa Card and Plus! Visa Card, the Plus! Programme is an independent programme scheme wholly owned by NTUC Link.

8.2 It is the responsibility of all holders of co-branded cards to notify both NTUC Link and the co-brand entity if there are changes to his or her particulars.

9. TRANSACTIONAL INFORMATION RELATING TO THE ACCOUNT

9.1 Upon the Cardholder’s request, NTUC Link may, at its sole discretion, disclose to that Cardholder the transactional information relating to his or her Account up to a maximum period of one (1) year prior to such request.

9.2 If NTUC Link is agreeable to disclose the Cardholder’s transactional information pursuant to Clause 9.1 above, the Cardholder shall pay NTUC Link such administrative fees as determined by NTUC Link for the disclosure of the requested transactional information.

9.3 Notwithstanding that Cardholders may request to receive his or her transactional information for the past year subject to NTUC Link’s approval, Cardholders agree that he or she is not entitled to dispute any such transactional information if more than one (1) month has lapsed from the date of such transactional information. NTUC Link’s decision regarding any dispute on the transactional information shall be final and binding. Cardholders further agree that they will not use such transactional information to commence any legal action or court proceeding against NTUC Link and/or its Merchants, or use such transactional information in any way that may or will cause disrepute to NTUC Link and/or its Merchants or impact NTUC Link and/or its Merchants negatively.

9.4 For the avoidance of doubt, NTUC Link will not entertain any requests from any Cardholder for his or her transactional information where the request relates to transactional information that is more than one (1) year prior to the date of the said request.

PLUS! CARD

1. ELIGIBILITY

Any member of the general public who is a Singapore citizen holding a valid NRIC, or a Singapore permanent resident with a valid FIN is eligible to apply for the Plus! Card.

2. SIGNUP FEE, ANNUAL FEE AND OTHER FEES

2.1 The signup fee payable for each Plus! Card (other than an ePlus! Card) application is S$10.00. The signup fee payable for an ePlus! Card application is S$2.00.

2.2 The fees payable for the replacement or re-issuance of an existing Plus! Card is 450 LinkPoints or S$3.00, which may be waived at NTUC Link’s sole discretion.

2.3 NTUC Link reserves the right to vary the signup, annual, replacement and re-issuance fees payable by the Cardholder upon prior written notice to the Cardholder.

3. REPRESENTATIONS AND DUTIES OF THE CARDHOLDER

3.1 Each Cardholder represents and warrants that all his or her particulars submitted in the application form (whether in hardcopy or electronic) to NTUC Link are true, accurate and correct. It is the responsibility of each Cardholder to notify NTUC Link if there are any changes to his or her particulars.

3.2 Each Cardholder acknowledges that the Plus! Card is personal to him or her and shall not be transferred to any other person.

3.3 Each Cardholder shall keep his or her Plus! Card in a safe and secure place and shall promptly notify NTUC Link if his or her Plus! Card is lost or stolen. If the Cardholder suspects that his or her Plus! Card has been fraudulently used by another person, he or she must notify NTUC Link immediately.

3.4 Each Cardholder shall inform NTUC Link promptly if his or her Plus! Card is defective or damaged. The fee for replacement is provided in Clause 2.3 above.

4. RIGHTS OF NTUC LINK

4.1 NTUC Link may at time, in its sole discretion, with or without prior notice to the Cardholders, do any or all of the following:

  1. Suspend or terminate any Plus! Card, which may result in the forfeiture of LinkPoints associated with such Plus! Card, without any compensation to the Cardholder;
  2. Refuse to re-issue, renew or replace any Plus! Card;
  3. Terminate an existing Plus! Card and assign a new Plus! Card with a new card number to the Cardholder; or
  4. Introduce, amend, restrict, suspend, terminate or make any changes to any or all of the benefits, services, facilities and privileges in respect of or in connection with Plus! Cards and/or Plus! Programme.

5. USE OF PLUS! CARD TO PARTICIPATE IN PLUS! PROGRAMME

5.1 Cardholders are eligible to participate in the Plus! Programme, including the Plus! Rewards. Cardholders’ participation in the Plus! Programme is subject to the terms and conditions of the Plus! Programme and terms and conditions of the Plus! Rewards, as set out in these Plus! Terms and Conditions.

6. STORED VALUE IN PLUS! CARD

6.1 Plus! Cards may be used as a stored value card to pay for goods and/or services at designated Merchant outlets with its own stored-value programme. As an illustration, Cardholders may store credits in the Plus! Card and use the credits in the Plus! Card to pay for food at NTUC Foodfare outlets.

6.2 Cardholders acknowledge that the stored value capability of the Plus! Card and all monies stored in the Plus! Card are managed and operated by the Merchant issuing the stored value. Cardholders acknowledge that the use of the stored value capability of the Plus! Card is subject to the terms and conditions imposed by such Merchant. NTUC Link shall not be liable to the Cardholder for any loss or damage suffered or incurred by Cardholder in connection with the inability of the Cardholder to use the stored value in the Plus! Card for any reason whatsoever.

6.3 NTUC Link reserves the right to withdraw the stored value capability of on all its Plus! Cards without prior notice to the Cardholder.

7. TERMINATION OF USE OF PLUS! CARD

7.1 Cessation of Union membership

  1. NTUC Members who have terminated their Union membership will continue to be enrolled in the Plus! Programme unless they have notified NTUC Link of their intention to resign from the Plus! Programme.

7.2 Cessation of Plus! Programme membership

  1. The Cardholder may resign from the Plus! Programme by contacting or writing to NTUC Link to notify NTUC Link of his or her intention to resign from the Plus! Programme.
  2. Upon cessation of the Cardholder’s membership to Plus! Programme, the Plus! Card will be deactivated and the Cardholder will no longer enjoy the privileges of the Plus! Programme. All LinkPoints in the Account will be forfeited upon the cessation of the Cardholder’s membership to the Plus! Programme. The Cardholder shall immediately cease the usage of the Plus! Card as a loyalty card for the Plus! Programme.

7.3 Cessation of Plus! Visa facility

  1. Cardholders who have terminated the Plus! Visa facility of their Plus! Cards will continue to be enrolled in the Plus! Programme unless they have notified NTUC Link of their intention to resign from the Plus! Programme.

PLUS! CARD ON ANDROID PAY

1. ABOUT PLUS! CARD ON ANDROID PAY

1.1 Android Pay is a wallet which allows a Plus! Member to add his or her physical Plus! Card into his or her Android Pay App.

1.2 As NTUC Link does not have access to, or possess any information relating to any Plus! Member's Gmail Account in Android Pay, the Plus! Member is responsible for ensuring that he or she secures their personal information.

2. ELIGIBILTY

2.1 Plus! Members

All Plus! Members with a valid Plus! Card which is in good standing order may add their Plus! Card into their Android Pay App to earn or redeem their LinkPoints from their purchases. Plus! Members must log in to their Plus! Account in order to add their Plus! Card into their Android Pay App. For avoidance of doubt, a supplementary Cardholder is not eligible to add their Plus! Card into their Android Pay App unless they have an existing Plus! Membership.

2.2 Non-Plus! Members

Persons who are not Plus! Members will be required to sign up as a Plus! Member before they are eligible to add their Plus! Card into their Android Pay App.

3. ONE-TIME AUTHORISATION

3.1 All Plus! Members may be required to do a one-time authorisatio in the manner stipulated by NTUC Link and Google at their sole discretion, before the Plus! Member can add their Plus! Card into their Android Pay App.

4. LINKPOINTS

4.1 There are no changes in the way a Plus! Member earns or redeems his or her available LinkPoints in their Plus! Account via their Plus! Card on Android Pay.

5. RESERVED RIGHTS OF NTUC LINK

5.1 If NTUC Link suspects any abuse or fraud by the Plus! Member in respect of his or her Plus! Card on Android Pay, NTUC Link, may in its sole discretion, block or cancel the Plus! Member's Account and/or require the Plus! Member to compensate NTUC Link for the losses suffered by NTUC Link, as a result of such abuse or fraud committed by the Plus! Member.

5.2 NTUC Link reserves the right to review, cancel and reverse any transaction in the event of any abuse or fraud committed by the Plus! Member, or an error or mistake made by NTUC Link and/or Plus! Partner, in respect of the LinkPoints earned or redeemed via the Plus! Card on Android Pay. NTUC Link shall be entitled to make any adjustments to such Plus! Member's Account in the foregoing circumstances, at any time during the transaction or after the completion of the transaction.

6. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

6.1 Each Plus! Member assumes all risk and liability for loss or damage arising his or her use of his or her Plus! Card on Android Pay. To the extent permitted by law, NTUC Link disclaims any liability whatsoever arising from or relating to the Plus! Member's use of the Plus! Card on Android Pay.

6.2 Each Plus! Member shall indemnify and hold NTUC Link and its directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors harmless from and against any and all claims, proceedings, loss, damange, costs and expenses (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) incurred, suffered or sustained by NTUC Link, its directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors directly or indirectly arising from or relating to the Plus! Member's use of his or her Plus! Card on Android Pay.

7. NO PRINCIPAL AND AGENT RELATIONSHIP

7.1 Each Plus! Member acknowledges that NTUC Link and Android Pay are independent contractors, and neither entity is an agent of the other entity. As such, each Plus! Member agrees to approach Android Pay directly in respect of any queries or disputes relating to such Plus! Member's Google Account.

7.2 Where deemed necessary by NTUC Link in its sole discretion, NTUC Link may (but shall not be obliged to) assist the Plus! Member to seek clarification from Google in respect of such issues arise from the Android Pay App.

PLUS! REWARDS

1. ELIGIBILITY

All Cardholders (other than a supplementary Cardholder), whose Cards are valid and in good standing order, may redeem for Rewards using LinkPoints and/or cash.

2. REDEMPTION OF REWARDS

2.1 Cardholders may use their LinkPoints to redeem for Rewards through the Website, at Plus! Rewards Centre, Rewards Vendor’s premises or Rewards Vendor’s Redemption Centre. Where the redemption is made at Plus! Rewards Centre, Rewards Vendor’s premises or Rewards Vendor’s Redemption Centre, Cardholders must attend to the redemption personally and present their Card and NRIC to the attending staff at the premises.

2.2 To redeem for a Reward item(s), including but not limited to Rewards Vendor’s vouchers, physical product items or prizes, the Cardholder must have more than or at least the same amount of LinkPoints in his or her Account as the amount of LinkPoints required for the redemption of such Reward. Upon successful redemption of a Reward, the corresponding amount of LinkPoints required for the redemption of that Reward will be deducted from the Cardholder’s Account.

2.3 NTUC Link may in its discretion, apply different tiers of LinkPoints required for the redemption of each Reward to Cardholders holding different types of Cards. As an illustration, a NTUC Plus! Visa Cardholder may use a lesser amount of LinkPoints than a Plus! Visa Cardholder to redeem the same Reward.

2.4 NTUC Link may in its discretion, restrict the redemption of certain Rewards to selected Cardholders. As an illustration, a particular Reward may only be redeemed by NTUC Plus! Card or NTUC Plus! Visa Card Cardholders, and not by other types of Cardholders.

2.5 Where applicable, Cardholders may have the option of redeeming a Reward fully with cash, fully with LinkPoints or partially with cash and LinkPoints.

2.6 The list of Rewards and the number of LinkPoints required for the redemption of the respective Rewards shall be determined by NTUC Link and the Rewards Vendors from time to time. For the avoidance of doubt, NTUC Link and/or the Rewards Vendors may from time to time, amend the LinkPoints required for redemption of each Reward, or remove a Reward from the list of Rewards without prior notice to Cardholders.

2.7 All redemption requests received by NTUC Link cannot be cancelled or exchanged with any other item by Cardholders. However, if there is a mistake or error in the amount of LinkPoints required for the redemption of a Reward listed on the Website, NTUC Link reserves the right to cancel the Cardholder’s redemption request or process the Cardholder’s redemption request and deduct the correct amount of LinkPoints required for the redemption of such Reward from the Cardholder’s Account.

2.8 All Rewards are subject to availability and on a first-come-first served basis. In the event that the requested Reward is out of stock or unavailable for whatever reason, NTUC Link reserves the right to substitute the requested Reward with an item of similar value or to cancel the redemption request and reinstate the deducted LinkPoints in the Cardholder’s Account.

2.9 All Rewards (whether utilised or not) cannot be revoked, returned, replaced, refunded or exchanged for cash, LinkPoints or any other items. Any unused balance of the Rewards is not refundable or exchangeable. Any deduction of LinkPoints from the Account for the redemption of the Rewards is final and shall not be reinstated in any circumstances.

2.10 For Rewards redeemed on the Website, NTUC Link will send the voucher or email containing the redemption information (as the case may be) to the Cardholder’s address or email address registered with NTUC Link or confirmed by the Cardholder during the redemption.

2.11 Cardholders may use their LinkPoints to participate in campaigns or contests available on the Website. The participation of Cardholders in each campaign or contest shall be subject to the specific terms and conditions governing such campaign or contest.

3. USE OF REWARDS

3.1 Cardholders acknowledge and accept that the use of Rewards is subject to the Plus! Terms and Conditions herein, the terms and conditions stated on the relevant Reward redemption webpage on the Website, and the terms and conditions as may be imposed by the Rewards Vendor on the use of the Reward.

3.2 Rewards are only valid for the item(s) stated and are not applicable with other discounts and promotions, nor usable in conjunction with any other discount cards or any form of vouchers.

3.3 Rewards in the form of vouchers, e-vouchers/promo codes, certificates or tickets:

  1. is only for single use;
  2. will not be accepted for use if it has been defaced, torn, damaged;
  3. are denominated in Singapore Dollars, unless otherwise stated;
  4. must be used within the expiry date, failing which the voucher, certificate or ticket shall be null and void and shall not be replaced or extended by NTUC Link;
  5. where Reward is in the form of e-voucher/promo code, such e-voucher/promo code shall not be shared or disclosed to other persons;
  6. where prior reservations are required for the use of such voucher, e-voucher/promo code, certificate or ticket, the Cardholder shall be responsible for making such prior reservations and paying the ancillary costs (if any) associated with the use of the such voucher, certificate or ticket.

3.4 Rewards in the form of official winners’ letters, vouchers, certificates, e-vouchers/promo codes or tickets are not exchangeable for cash. Where the value of the goods and/or services purchased by the Cardholder using such official winners’ letter, voucher, certificate, e-voucher/promo code or ticket exceeds the value stated therein, the Cardholder shall be responsible for paying the difference to the Rewards Vendor.

3.5 Rewards in the form of vouchers or certificates may be transferred to third parties. To transfer such voucher or certificate to third parties, the Cardholder shall complete and sign the relevant authorisation letter. Once completed and signed, the authorisation letter shall be binding on the Cardholder and shall not be revocable.

3.6 If NTUC Link suspects any abuse or fraud by the Cardholder in respect of Rewards in the form of e-vouchers/promo codes, NTUC Link, may in its sole discretion, block or cancel the Cardholder’s Account or, require the Cardholder to compensate NTUC Link for the losses suffered by NTUC Link as a result of such abuse or fraud by the Cardholder.

PLUS! EXCHANGE

1. ABOUT PLUS! EXCHANGE

1.1 Plus! Exchange acts as a loyalty points conversion platform which allows a Plus! Member to convert his or her Loyalty Points to LinkPoints, or vice versa.

1.2 As NTUC Link does not have access to, or possess any information relating to any Plus! Member’s account in the Loyalty Programme owned by any of the Plus! Partners listed on Plus! Exchange, the Plus! Member is responsible for ensuring that he or she has the requisite number of Loyalty Points required for the conversion of such Loyalty Points to LinkPoints for the intended transaction to be performed on the Plus! Exchange. Any dispute relating to the account balances of the Loyalty Points shall be solely between the Plus! Member and the Plus! Partner.

2. ELIGIBILTY

2.1 Plus! Members

All Plus! Members with a valid Card which is in good standing order, may use the Plus! Exchange to convert their Loyalty Points to LinkPoints, or vice versa. For avoidance of doubt, a supplementary Cardholder is not eligible to perform any conversion transactions on the Plus! Exchange. Plus! Members must log in to their account on the Plus! Exchange in order to perform any conversion transaction on the Plus! Exchange.

2.2 Non-Plus! Members

Persons who are not Plus! Members will be required to sign up as a Plus! Member before they are eligible to perform any conversion transaction on the Plus! Exchange.

3. ONE-TIME AUTHORISATION

3.1 All Plus! Members may be required to do a one-time authorisation in the manner as stipulated by NTUC Link at its sole discretion, with each of the listed Plus! Partners on the Plus! Exchange, before the Plus! Members are able to perform the conversion transactions on the Plus! Exchange.

4. POINTS CONVERSION

4.1 To be eligible to perform conversion transactions in respect of LinkPoints and the selected Loyalty Points on the Plus! Exchange or the Plus! Partner’s Platform, the Plus! Member must also be a member of the selected Loyalty Programme, and whose memberships in both the Plus! Programme and such selected Loyalty Programme are valid at the time of the conversion request on the Plus! Exchange or the Plus! Partner’s Platform until the conversion transaction is completed.

4.2 Plus! Members must have the requisite number of LinkPoints or Loyalty Points to perform the intended conversion transaction on either the Plus! Exchange or the Plus! Partner’s Platform throughout the entire conversion process until completion.

4.3 NTUC Link may in its sole discretion, apply different tiers of LinkPoints required for Plus! Members holding different types of Plus! Membership, who wish to convert their LinkPoints to a selected Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Points. As an illustration, a Plus! Member holding a NTUC Plus! Visa Card may be entitled to use fewer LinkPoints than a Plus! Member holding a Plus! Visa Card, to convert to the Loyalty Points of the same Plus! Partner.

4.4 NTUC Link may in its sole discretion, restrict a particular conversion transaction pertaining to a specified Loyalty Programme to Plus! Members who are holding a particular type of Card. As an illustration, a particular conversion transaction may only be done by a Plus! Member holding a NTUC Plus! Card or NTUC Plus! Visa Card, but not by Plus! Members holding other types of Cards.

4.5 The list of Plus! Partners and the conversion rate between LinkPoints and a Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Points shall be determined by NTUC Link and the Plus! Partners from time to time. For the avoidance of doubt, NTUC Link and/or the Plus! Partners may, from time to time, amend the LinkPoints and/or Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Points required for each conversion transaction, or remove a Plus! Partner from the list of participating Plus! Partners in the Plus! Exchange without prior notice to Plus! Members.

4.6 In event of a mistake or error in the number of LinkPoints to be deducted or issued for the conversion listed on the Plus! Exchange, NTUC Link reserves the right to cancel the Plus! Member’s conversion request or process the Plus! Member’s conversion request and deduct or issue the correct number of LinkPoints in respect of such conversion transaction from or to the Plus! Member’s Account.

4.7 Conversion from Loyalty Points to LinkPoints

Where conversion from the selected Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Points to LinkPoints is available on the Plus! Exchange, the Plus! Member must ensure that he or she has more than or at least the same number of Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Points in his or her Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Programme account to perform the conversion based on the conversion rate stated on the Plus! Exchange. The conversion request status on the Plus! Member’s Exchange Transactions page will be reflected as "Pending" upon the submission of the conversion request on the Plus! Exchange. Upon the conversion request status on the Plus! Member’s Exchange Transactions page being reflected as "Successful", the corresponding amount of LinkPoints issued based on the conversion rate stated on the Plus! Exchange as at the time of the conversion request will be credited into the Plus! Member’s Account.

Where conversion from the selected Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Points to LinkPoints is not available on the Plus! Exchange, the Plus! Member will be directed to the relevant Plus! Partner’s Platform to submit the conversion request. All conversion requests made on a Plus! Partner’s Platform are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the Plus! Partner. NTUC Link will credit the LinkPoints into the Plus! Member’s Account and record the successful conversion transaction on the Plus! Member’s Exchange Transactions page after NTUC Link receives the Plus! Partner’s confirmation of the successful conversion request, which will take between 7 – 14 working days from the submission of the conversion request, or such longer period as may be mutually agreed by NTUC Link and the Plus! Partner. In no event shall NTUC Link be responsible for any error, delay or failure of the Plus! Partner to send NTUC Link its confirmation of the successful conversion request on the Plus! Partner’s Platform.

4.8 Conversion from LinkPoints to Loyalty Points

To perform a conversion transaction from LinkPoints to a Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Points on the Plus! Exchange, the Plus! Member must have more than or at least the same number of LinkPoints in his or her Account to perform the conversion based on the conversion rate stated on the Plus! Exchange. Upon submission of the conversion request, the corresponding number of LinkPoints required for the conversion will be deducted from the Plus! Member’s Account immediately and the conversion request status on the Plus! Member’s Exchange Transactions page will be reflected as "Pending". The conversion transaction is complete when the conversion request status on the Plus! Member’s Exchange Transactions page is reflected as "Successful". If the conversion request is unsuccessful as reflected by the conversion request st atus on the Plus! Member’s Exchange Transactions page, the deducted LinkPoints will be reinstated in the Plus! Member’s Account.

Where available, the Plus! Member may perform a conversion transaction from LinkPoints to a Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Points on a Plus! Partner’s Platform. All conversion requests made on a Plus! Partner’s Platform are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the Plus! Partner. NTUC Link will deduct the LinkPoints from the Plus! Member’s Account and record the successful conversion transaction on the Plus! Member’s Exchange Transactions page after NTUC Link receives the Plus! Partner’s confirmation of the successful conversion request, which will take between 7 - 14 working days from the submission of the conversion request, or such longer period as may be mutually agreed by NTUC Link and the Plus! Partner. In no event shall NTUC Link be responsible for any error, delay or failure of the Plus! Partner to send NTUC Link its confirmation of the successful conversion request on the Plus! Partner’s Platform.

4.9 Other Conditions

All conversion requests received by NTUC Link are final and non-cancellable. Once a conversion request has been submitted on the Plus! Exchange, it cannot be cancelled or reversed by the Plus! Member.

4.10 All successful conversion transactions on the Plus! Exchange or a Plus! Partner’s Platform are final and non-cancellable. Any deduction or issuance of LinkPoints from or to a Plus! Member’s Account pursuant to a successful conversion transaction on Plus! Exchange or a Plus! Partner’s Platform is final and shall not be reinstated or reversed in any circumstances, except in accordance with paragraph 5.2 herein.

4.11 NTUC Link’s decision in respect of any conversion transactions performed on the Plus! Exchange shall be final and binding.

4.12 NTUC Link shall not be liable for any requests or transactions made on a Plus! Partner’s Platform (whether or not LinkPoints are involved) and any dispute arising from the use of such Plus! Partner’s Platform, including but not limited to any error in the conversion rate listed on such Plus! Partner’s Platform, shall be directed to the Plus! Partner.

5. RESERVED RIGHTS OF NTUC LINK

5.1 If NTUC Link suspects any abuse or fraud by the Plus! Member in respect of his or her conversion transactions (whether on Plus! Exchange or any Plus! Partner’s Platform), NTUC Link, may in its sole discretion, block or cancel the Plus! Member’s Account and/or require the Plus! Member to compensate NTUC Link for the losses suffered by NTUC Link as a result of such abuse or fraud committed by the Plus! Member.

5.2 NTUC Link reserves the right to review, cancel and reverse any conversion transaction in the event of any abuse or fraud committed by the Plus! Member, or an error or mistake made by NTUC Link and/or the Plus! Partner, in respect of the conversion transaction. NTUC Link shall be entitled to make any adjustments to such Plus! Member’s Account in the foregoing circumstances, at any time during the conversion transaction, or after the completion of the conversion transaction.

5.3 NTUC Link may immediately suspend or terminate a Plus! Member’s right to use the Plus! Exchange, without any prior notice to such Plus! Member, if NTUC Link is of the opinion that such Plus! Member has failed to comply with, or is in breach of, any of the Plus! Terms and Conditions herein, or is otherwise engaged in any fraudulent, criminal or other unauthorized activity on the Plus! Exchange.

6. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

6.1 Each Plus! Member assumes all risk and liability for loss or damage arising from his or her use of the Plus! Exchange. To the extent permitted by law, NTUC Link disclaims any liability whatsoever arising from or relating to the Plus! Member’s use of the Plus! Exchange.

6.2 Each Plus! Member shall indemnify and hold NTUC Link and its directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors harmless from and against any and all claims, proceedings, loss, damage, costs and expenses (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) incurred, suffered or sustained by NTUC Link, its directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors directly or indirectly arising from or relating to the Plus! Member’s use of the Plus! Exchange.

7. NO PRINCIPAL AND AGENT RELATIONSHIP

7.1 Each Plus! Member acknowledges that NTUC Link and each Plus! Partner are independent contractors, and neither entity is an agent of the other entity. As such, each Plus! Member agrees to approach the Plus! Partner directly in respect of any queries or disputes relating to s uch Plus! Member’s account in the Plus! Partner’s Loyalty Programme, including any conversion transactions using the Plus! Partner’s Platform.

7.2 Where deemed necessary by NTUC Link in its sole discretion, NTUC Link may (but shall not be obliged to) assist the Plus! Member to seek clarification from the relevant Plus! Partner in respect of such Plus! Member’s conversion transaction.

GENERAL

1. NOTICES

1.1 A notice from NTUC Link to the Cardholder pursuant to these Plus! Terms and Conditions may be sent (i) by post to the address of the Cardholder listed on NTUC Link’s records; (ii) by SMS to the Cardholder’s mobile number listed on NTUC Link’s records; (iii) by email to the Cardholder’s email address listed on NTUC Link’s records; (iv) by way of a notice on the Website; or (v) by such other mode as agreed between NTUC Link and the Cardholder. It is the responsibility of the Cardholder to inform NTUC Link if there are any changes to his or her particulars on NTUC Link’s records. Such notices shall be deemed to be delivered to the Cardholder on (i) the date of posting if sent by post; (ii) date of SMS delivery if sent by SMS; (iii) date of email transmission if sent by email; or (iv) date of upload of the notice on the Website if by way of notice on the Website.

1.2 All notices, requests and instructions from the Cardholder to NTUC Link must be made in writing and delivered to NTUC Link in accordance with NTUC Link’s prescribed procedures prevailing at that time. Notwithstanding the foregoing, NTUC Link shall be entitled in its absolute discretion to reply and act on any verbal notice, request or instruction of the Cardholder if NTUC Link reasonably believes that such notice, request or instruction originated from the Cardholder.

1.3 Save for enquiries or requests relating to data protection matters where ten (10) working days processing time is required and unless otherwise stated or notified, NTUC Link will need at least three (3) working days from NTUC Link’s receipt of the Cardholder’s notice, request or instruction to process the Cardholder’s request or instruction.

2. CARDHOLDER’S AND USER’S ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

2.1 Each Cardholder assumes all risk and liability for loss, damage or injury to the person or property of the Cardholder or any other person arising from the Cardholder’s participation in the Plus! Programme. To the extent permitted by law, NTUC Link disclaims any liability whatsoever arising from or relating to the Cardholder’s participation in the Plus! Programme.

2.2 Each Cardholder shall indemnify and hold NTUC Link, its Service Provider and Rewards Vendor, its and its Service Provider’s or Rewards Vendor’s directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors harmless from and against any and all claims, proceedings, loss, damage, costs and expenses (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) incurred, suffered or sustained by NTUC Link, its Service Provider or Rewards Vendor, its and its Service Provider’s or Rewards Vendor’s directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors directly or indirectly arising from or relating to the Cardholder’s participation in the Plus! Programme, the Cardholder’s Redemption of Rewards, the Cardholder's use, misuse or abuse of the Plus! Card and/or breach of these Plus! Terms and Conditions by the Cardholder.

3. NTUC LINK’S DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

3.1 Cardholders agree that Plus! Cards are intended to be used as a loyalty card for the accumulation of LinkPoints for eligible purchases and that NTUC Link does not make any representation or warranty with respect to any goods and/or services purchased, whether or not the purchase qualifies for LinkPoints Award. NTUC Link shall therefore not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, injury, death, costs or expenses howsoever incurred, suffered or sustained by the Cardholder as a result of or in connection with the purchase of such goods and/or services. Each Cardholder agrees to direct all claims in relation to such goods and/or services to the Merchant, manufacturer or such appropriate third party concerned with the supply of such goods and/or services.

3.2 NTUC Link does not make any representation or warranty with respect to any goods and/or services offered as Rewards, including without limitation any warranties in respect of quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. NTUC Link shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, injury, death, costs or expenses howsoever incurred, suffered or sustained by the Cardholder as a result of or in connection with the redemption, supply or use of the Rewards. The Cardholder agrees to direct all claims in relation to such goods and/or services to the Rewards Vendor, manufacturer or such appropriate third party concerned with the supply of the goods and/or services as Rewards.

3.3 Cardholders acknowledge and accept that the use of LinkPoints to offset payments at the Merchant’s outlets or the use of Rewards in the form of vouchers, e-vouchers/promo codes or certificates for the purchase of goods and/or services from the Rewards Vendor shall constitute a contract for sale between the Cardholder and Merchant or the Rewards Vendor (as the case may be). As such, NTUC Link assumes no liability in respect of any goods and/or services purchased by the Cardholder from the Merchant or Rewards Vendor using LinkPoints or Rewards in the form of vouchers, e-vouchers/promo codes or certificates. The Cardholder agrees to direct all claims in relation to such goods and/or services to the Merchant, Rewards Vendor, manufacturer or such appropriate third party concerned with the supply of the goods and/or services.

3.4 As the use of the Rewards in the form of vouchers, e-vouchers/promo codes, certificates or tickets is subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the Rewards Vendor, NTUC Link does not accept any liability arising out of the Rewards Vendor’s refusal in accepting such voucher, evoucher/promo code, certificate or ticket, for any reason whatsoever. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of such voucher, e-voucher/promo code certificate or ticket shall be solely between the Rewards Vendor and the Cardholder.

3.5 To the fullest extent permitted by law, NTUC Link shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense incurred, suffered or sustained by Cardholders or Users arising from or in connection with:

  1. any failure or refusal by any Merchant in accepting the Plus! Card or crediting of LinkPoints in the Account;
  2. any defective or damaged Plus! Card;
  3. any lost, misplaced or stolen Plus! Card;
  4. the use of the Plus! Card;
  5. any loss of data and records relating to the Account or Plus! Programme;
  6. any loss of stored value (including LinkPoints) in the Plus! Card or any inability to use the stored value in the Plus! Card;
  7. any acts, omissions, negligence or willful default on the part of the Merchant and/or Rewards Vendor;
  8. any acts, omissions, negligence or willful default on the part of NTUC Link, its directors, officers, employees, agents or contractors;
  9. the inability of NTUC Link to perform any of its obligations due, whether directly or indirectly, to the failure of any computer, machine, processing or communication systems, power failure, industrial dispute, war, Act of God, governmental regulations, prohibitions or measures of any kind, or any event beyond NTUC Link’s control; or
  10. any failure or inability of the Cardholder or User to access the Website or to use any of the Services.

4. COPYRIGHT AND OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

4.1 The Website is protected by copyright. The software is NTUC Link’s and/or its licensor’s exclusive property and NTUC Link or its licensor’s retains all rights, title and interest in and to the software throughout the world, including any modifications and improvements to it.

4.2 All intellectual property subsisting in the Website, including the design, text, images, graphics, logos and other content, and all intellectual property rights contained therein belongs to NTUC Link and/or its licensors.

4.3 Cardholders and Users agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute or publish any content of this Website without NTUC Link and/or its licensor’s prior written permission.

4.4 For the avoidance of doubt, all intellectual property subsisting in any material, media, sample, document, platform or third party sites relating to the Plus! Programme belongs to NTUC Link and/or its licensors.

5. ACCESS TO LINKED SITES

5.1 Cardholders and Users may be able to access Linked Sites. Linked Sites are not reviewed, controlled, or examined by NTUC Link in any way and NTUC Link is not responsible for the content, availability, advertising, products or other materials of any such Linked Sites, or any additional links contained therein. These links do not imply NTUC Link’s endorsement of, association, partnership or any other relationship with the Linked Sites with their operators. It is the sole responsibility of Cardholders and Users to comply with the terms of service and privacy policy of the Linked Sites as well as with any other obligation under copyright, secrecy, defamation, decency, privacy, security and export laws related to the use of such Linked Sites and any content contained there on. In no event shall NTUC Link be liable, directly or indirectly, to anyone for any loss or damage arising from or occasioned by the creation or use of the Linked Sites or the information or material accessed-through these Linked Sites. Any concerns should be directed to the Linked Site’s administrator or webmaster. NTUC Link reserves the exclusive right, at its sole discretion, to add, change, decline or remove, without notice, any link to any of the Linked Sites from the Website and/or introduce different links to different users.

6. MISCELLANEOUS

6.1 NTUC Link may amend these Plus! Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice to the Cardholder or User. It is the responsibility of the Cardholder or User to check the Website regularly for any amendments to the Plus! Terms and Conditions herein. By using his or her Card, logging into his or her Account on the Website to participate in the Plus! Programme, o r using any of the Services after these Plus! Terms and Conditions have been amended, the Cardholder or User is deemed to have accepted such amendments to the Plus! Terms and Conditions herein.

6.2 No failure or delay on the part of NTUC Link in exercising any right or remedy under these Plus! Terms and Conditions will operate as a waiver of such right or remedy, nor will any single or partial exercise of any right or remedy preclude any other or further exercise of such right or remedy. Any waiver by NTUC Link of their right or remedy in respect of any of these Plus! Terms and Conditions or any breach of these Plus! Terms and Conditions by the Cardholder or User shall be made in writing and may be given subject to such conditions as may be imposed by NTUC Link, and shall only be effective in the instance and for the purpose for which the waiver was given.

6.3 Each term of these Plus! Terms and Conditions is severable and distinct from one another and if at any time any of the terms in these Plus! Terms and Conditions or any part thereof is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired in any way.

6.4 NTUC Link shall have the right to assign the Plus! Programme and/or any of its rights, obligations or liabilities hereunder to any persons or entities without the consent of the Cardholder or User. The Cardholder or User shall not have any right to assign any of its rights, obligations or liabilities hereunder to any persons or entities without the prior written consent of NTUC Link.

6.5 These Plus! Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Cardholders and Users hereby irrevo cably submit themselves to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.

COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

The collection, use and disclosure of Cardholders' and Users' Personal Data will be in accordance with NTUC Link's Privacy Policy which is available here. By using his or her Card, logging into his or her Account on the Website to participate in the Plus! Programme, or using any of the Services, the Cardholder or User is deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms of NTUC Link’s Privacy Policy.
